Fall Season

After a great summer, Planet Swim School is now ready to begin another great season. Classes will begin on Wednesday, September 8. Kids can register anytime before or after the session begins. We promise a lot of learning and fun! Call or email us for a free evaluation. Don't miss out!

Swim Schools Applaud the American Academy of Pediatrics’ New Water Safety Guidelines

The American Academy of Pediatrics' has recently released a statement indicating that they have revised their policy and guidelines on swim lesson for children. The updated policy the AAP has not only revised its guidance on swimming lessons, but also highlights new drowning risks. Jeffrey Weiss, lead author of the policy statement says, " To protect their children, parents need to think about layers of protection. Children need to learn to swim. Swimming lessons can be an important part of overall protection, which should include pool barriers and constant, capable supervision." The statement goes on to say that children between 1 and 4 years of age may be less likely to drown if they have had formal swimming instruction.

First 8 Lessons Program Concluded

Congratulation to Zach and Jake Smith for concluding the first 8 lessons program at Planet Swim School. Zach and Jake were the first two swimmers to join our school and have recently concluded their program with us. It was a lof of fun working with them. Congratulations on a job well done!

Planet Swim to work with Metro Kids Konnection

Planet Swim is excited about it's wonderfull partnership with Metro Kids Konnection in Jacksonville. We hope that through this partnership we can share our passion with some of our community members who may not get a chance to see what our sport is all about. Metro Kids Konnection works by building relationships with at-risk kids. Many of these kids don't know anything about swimming or how to safely enjoy time in a pool or the ocean or a lake. So we are going to work with 24 kids this summer to help them get comfortable in the water and, with some fun and hard work, help them LOVE the water! We feel so fortunate to get a chance to share our time with these kids and CAN'T WAIT to get them swimming!

Great Start

It is open season for swimming school in Ponte Vedra Beach after a very successful inaugural open house for Planet Swim. Thanks so much for the dosen of people who stopped by our pool in Ponte Vedra this past weekend to see what all the fuss is about. We are excited about getting to know people in our immediate community and beyond and finding out how all of us can, together, grow and share our passion for swimming with people from all over the first coast. We hope to see many more of you soon!
